Bob Mitchell – Rest in Peace

It is with great sadness that our EMN community regrets to announce the passing of one of our friends and fellow EMN contributor – Bob Mitchell.

It is with great sadness that our EMN community regrets to announce the passing of one of our friends and fellow EMN contributor – Bob Mitchell. Bob was an enthusiastic Canadian author and journalist, who covered crime and sports for The Toronto Star for more than 35 years. He’s the author of eight books, including four UFO books. His latest book – co-written with Jason Quitt – “Forbidden Knowledge-Revelations of a multi-dimensional time traveler” has been among the top 5 UFO books on Amazon since its release in late March 2016. He is also the author of “What if? Close Encounters of the Unusual Kind” as well as “Intrusion-Alien Encounters” and “Incident at Pleasant Ridge-A Canadian UFO Mystery.” One of his true crime books – “The Class Project-How to Kill a Mother,” the story of Canada’s infamous Bathtub Girls was turned into the movie “Perfect Sisters.”

Last month Bob was diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic and liver cancer. He succumbed to cancer yesterday Sept 21, 2016.

Bob will be missed by us at EMN. We will miss his permanent smile that he always wore and his enthusiasm for his work. The greater UFO community lost another voice that fought for the recognition of the UFO phenomenon by the mainstream media.
